Kid's Room Door Signs

Of all the papercrafting I do, one of my favorite things to create are door hangers. I love the personal touch they add to a child's room and they make fun gifts. Josie has had this one on her door for a while now...

I figured it was time to make her a new one, since she is about 10 months old in that photo and she is four now. So, I created this using the new Be You collection by Fancy Pants Designs...

I know this is only a little peek, but you can see more of this creation on the Fancy Pants Designs blog today. Piradee Talvanna and I have focused on the Be You stamps, so you'll want to go check it out.

Here are a few more door signs I've created...

You can personalize them with photos or keep them more generic ... like this one. Perfect for a new baby gift.
You can make them to fit the child's personality! Pretty, sweet and feminine...
Girlie, with a touch of tom boy! Notice the jeans ... yes, those are my old jeans that had to be retired, but now they have new life as a fun background for this door sign!

Fun, quirky and all boy!!
I hope I've inspired you today! If you have any questions about the products used on these or how I created them, just let me know, I'd love to help!

Happy creating!

Turning 4

Have you ever used one of Fancy Pants' Brag Books? They are a great way to document on the go, keep little bits of this and that, and their sturdy covers and binding can stand up to lots of wear.

Today, I wanted to share what I did with Fancy Pants' newest Brag Book in Sand. I love the soft, subtle color of the binding and the white flourishes and journaling lines on the pages.

I created this book using the Be You collection for my Josie. I saw an idea on Pinterest that suggested asking your child 20 questions on their birthday each year, starting at age 3. Well Josie just turned 4, so I thought I would start this tradition now. I asked her the  questions and recorded them in this book.

Some of her answers were too cute! What do you want for dinner on your birthday? ... Something with fish in it ... and cake! Ha!

I used the divided page protectors to keep recent photos I took of her.

I stashed a few odds and ends in one of the pockets as well. All things that are special to her right now at age 4. A practice sheet for the letter J, some trading cards she collects, and a photo strip of her and I on a recent visit to the mall.
I love how thick the Brag Books are and that I'll have lots of room to record her answers for when she turns five, six, and so on.
